AMC

Today was the so called "maths day" since they tried to squeeze all the events together, there's the maths trail, the American Mathematics Competition, a maths + physics talk by a NTU professor, then there's the daily maths quiz.

Starting off with the dumb quiz, i failed miserably on the first question, so didn't bother to attempt other questions since all of the questions must be answered correctly. They gave some stupid decryption stuff, what's this? Digital Fortress?

After that there was the professor from NTU coming to give us a talk on applied physics and something like that. Secret Message System and the application of the law of chaos. It was damn freaking boring, even to me. I fell asleep halfway, without knowing i fell asleep. I can't imagine how the arts student take it. Although it sounded interesting at first, those cryptology and everything, but somehow you just get bored, can't imagine how i'm going to spend my time in U after my NS. I'll be more eager to go running then attend a lecture, hhaaha.

After school ended went for the AMC thingy. It was quite ok, except that i could only do 15 out of 25. Some of them is damn chim, what ounce of coffee and comparing the ratio of cream in coffee. I had to bring out mole concept to understand the question, just to understand though. In the end could not solve it also, just drink the god damn coffee man, compare what ratio!

I should be able to go for the next round, the invitational stage where you can't do much during the competition, because you don't know where to start.

Anyway, the best valentine day gift that i ever received: Liverpool 1 Arsenal 0. Luis garcia the hero, a good win, let's hope we will be able to build on that win, bring on Man Utd!
